Introduction to Yamato Shipping Service

This choice isn't just convenient— it guarantees complete satisfaction for all your shipping needs.
Registering as a Kuroneko Member
This step isn't mandatory; you can totally schedule a Yamato staff pickup at home without registering an account.
However, there are some benefits to signing up as a Kuroneko (black cat) member, and registration is completely free:
You can save address lists, sender and recipient info, so you don't have to re-enter them later
Members get discounts on shipping and flexible options to change delivery times and locations
You can change the delivery location to convenience stores, meeting your flexible needs
Then, enter your email address, and the system will send you a registration link via email.
Check Your Email
The system will send an email with the official registration link; click on it and enter the necessary information to register as a member.
After successful registration, your membership card will be sent to your address a few days later. You can use this card to add funds and pay for each shipment.
Scheduling a Yamato Pickup at Home
For Registered Members: If you've successfully registered, after accessing the homepage, click on the クロネコメンバーズ button to log in https://www.kuronekoyamato.co.jp
After logging in successfully, click on 集荷申し込み to start scheduling
For Non-Registered Members: If you don't have an account, you can still schedule normally by accessing the following link: https://shuka.kuronekoyamato.co.jp
Choose Your Shipping Method
The first screen is where you select the appropriate shipping method:
通常の荷物を送る: Ship regular packages
空港に送る: Ship to the airport
ゴルフ場に送る: Ship to a golf course
スキー場に送る: Ship to a ski resort
宿泊施設に送る: Ship to a hotel or resort
The most common option is 通常の荷物を送る (ship regular packages), so in this guide, I'll walk you through that one.
Enter Sender Information
In the section 【1. 集荷に関する内容】, enter the details for Yamato staff to pick up your package.
集荷のお伺い先 Fill in the sender's full name, address, phone number, and email
ご利用サービス Choose the shipping service; there are 4 options:
宅急便：Ship packages with total dimensions of 200cm or less, weight 30kg or less
宅急便コンパクト：Ship compact boxes
クール宅急便：Ship refrigerated items
パソコン宅急便：Ship computers
For each option, clicking it may reveal more specific choices inside, depending on the category.
In the 発送方法 section, there are 2 choices:
発払い：Sender pays
着払い：Recipient pays
集荷希望日時 Select the date and time for Yamato staff to pick up. A few things to note:
If you choose the time slot from 17:00 to 18:30 today, your package will be shipped the next day. Additionally, in some areas, if you select a pickup time outside this slot, your package will also be shipped the next day.
If the number of orders exceeds the available slots, it will show as fully booked, and you won't be able to select it.
If you bring the package to a Yamato office, they will accept it for you.
Enter Recipient Information
In the section 【2. 発送に関する内容】, enter the recipient's details
If you've already prepared the shipping label with recipient info, select 送り状をご用意済みの方; if not, select 送り状のご用意がまだの方. Entering sender info online is more convenient since you can use saved details, plus it saves you 60 yen.
お届け先 Fill in the recipient's full name, address, and phone number
ご依頼主 Fill in the sender's full name, address, and phone number
荷物の内容 Details about the shipment, including the number of packages and their contents
For each package, you can select up to 2 description categories to ensure proper handling by the shipping service.
精密機械（せいみつきかい）：Precision equipment, like circuit boards or computer RAM
ワレモノ：Fragile items
下積厳禁（したづみげんきん）：Do not stack on top
天地無用（てんちむよう）：Do not invert
ナマモノ：Perishable items, like food, meat, fish, vegetables
お届け希望日時 Select the desired delivery date and time for the recipient. Depending on traffic and other issues, there might be cases where Yamato can't deliver on your preferred date or time, though it's rare.
Set Up Notifications and Add Requests
In the section 【3. 集荷・配送に関するオプション】, set up notifications or note any preferences.
お届け予定・完了eメール設定
お届け先へ到着予定日時をお知らせする：The system will email the recipient with the estimated arrival date and time.
荷物のお届け完了のお知らせを受け取る：The system will email the sender once the package has been successfully delivered.
集荷に関するご要望 If you have any specific requests, enter them in this box.
Review and Submit
Once you've filled everything out, click on 内容を確認する to go to the review screen.
If everything looks good, select この内容で集荷を申し込む to submit your request to the system.
The system will immediately send you an email confirming that your request has been received successfully.
And that's it! Next, just pack your package and wait for the scheduled time; the Yamato staff will come to your home to pick it up.
