You've just finished the JLPT exam and want to check your JLPT results right on the official website in Japan? Here's a detailed step-by-step guide to help you easily look up your scores and pass/fail status.

How to Check JLPT Results on the Website in Japan


Step 1: Access the MyJLPT Website (for Exams in Japan)

Go to the JEES MyJLPT page (the official JLPT site for test-takers in Japan).

Then log in to your MyJLPT account. Enter your ID and password, then click the ログイン button to sign in.
If you've forgotten your password, select the line ※MyJLPT IDを 忘 わす れた 方 かた はこちら/To remind your "MyJLPT" ID, Click here to reset it and set a new password.

Step 2: Go to the Results Page

After successfully logging in, look for the 試験結果・証明書発行 (Test Result and Certificate Issuance) section. This is where all your exam results are displayed, including:
  • The exam level you took (e.g., N1–N5)
  • Your registration number
  • Total score and section breakdowns
  • Pass/fail result

The results will appear right on the interface in a table format.
The official score report (paper version) will be sent by mail afterward, typically around:
  • Summer exam (July) → online results around late August – early September
  • Winter exam (December) → online results around late January – early February

Important Notes

  • MyJLPT is only for test-takers in Japan. If you took the exam abroad, results are managed differently.
  • Besides checking results, you can request additional certificates or change your address for receiving the certificate on MyJLPT.
